Batman vs. Superman: Ranking The Films From Worst To Best

13. Superman IV: The Quest For Peace (1987)

Not even a full decade after Superman: The Movie released to critical and commercial success, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace drove a big Kryptonite stake into the franchise's heart. Cheap-looking, devoid of energy and without any truly redeeming qualities, Superman IV is a forgettable mess that even the late Christopher Reeve would go on to lament as the disappointing and embarrassing disaster it is. For fans of Superman's live-action history over the decades since Reeve donned the tights, this film is inarguably the character's lowest point. It would take two decades before he took flight in theaters again, relatively free of the shadow cast by a movie that included characters like the goofy Nuclear Man and the even goofier Lenny Luthor - Lex's unnecessary nephew - and while the two Superman films that have hit theaters since may have divided fans' opinions, those same fans can easily agree that they're far better than The Quest for Peace.
