Batman Vs. Two-Face Review: 7 Ups & 5 Downs

4. Julie Newmar Sounds Too Old For Catwoman

This was also an issue with Return of the Caped Crusaders, where having legacy cast members from the original 1960s Batman TV series reprising their roles highlights just how much their voices have aged.

While Adam West easily gets away with it, Burt Ward isn't particularly convincing as the Boy Wonder anymore, and worst of all, Julie Newmar's weathered voice makes her Catwoman sound, well, ridiculous.

Bless Julie Newmar for trying her level-best to make it work, but hearing her spout seductive one-liners with her aged, gravely voice just doesn't fit at all.

Whether or not you enjoy Newmar's performance here, with West's recent death, this will presumably be the last of these nostalgic animated movies.
