3. Hugo Strange Is Completely Wasted

Cult favourite villain Hugo Strange makes a brief and woefully underwhelming appearance here as a mad scientist caricature who creates an Evil Extractor (really), which he claims can remove the evil essence of Gotham's most fearsome supervillains.

Daft contraption aside, Strange is depicted here as little more than a bumbling idiot, with a stereotypical German(ish) accent to boot, even shouting "Nein! Nein! Nein!" when things don't go his way.

Considering how great Strange is in the comics, and how many fans would love to see him get a nuanced treatment on-screen, it's a shame he's reduced to being a joke here rather than a convincing threat.
