11. The Magic Book

In The Original

Though the original book includes an enchanted ring that allows Belle to teleport back to Beast's castle when she temporarily leaves to go home, Disney's original version ignored that, keeping only the enchanted mirror.

In The Remake

There's magic, but it's different entirely. In this version, Beast is given an enchanted book by the Enchantress that allows him and Belle to travel to any destination in the world. He has never used it as he's too ashamed of his appearance, rather poignantly.

She chooses to go to Paris, the place of her birth, to relive something of her childhood, and reveals another piece of her backstory jigsaw that the Disney animation left out.
