Beauty And The Beast: 20 Fiendishly Clever Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

11. The Crockery's Big Cameo

As with the Belle cameo in Hunchback Of Notre-Dame, there's another franchise jumping appearance for Mrs Potts and her family (including Chip, obviously) in Tarzan. When Tarzan and his animal buddies explore the explorers' camp, they come across the very familiar looking crockery set among the luggage.

Clearly, that confuses matters if you start looking at the timeline - since Tarzan comes later, and Mrs Potts and Chip should have been transformed back into humans forever - but it's very possible that the staff were simply absorbed into an existing set, which itself became enchanted and came to life. It's a little tragic to think that the faceless items around the castle had their lives snubbed out when everyone else came back to life, but that at least explains that the wrecked furniture in the West Wing isn't all just murdered former staff.

Anyway, there's a theory thanks to this Egg that Belle and Jane from Tarzan are related, and that Jane inherited the crockery after Belle and Beast fled to England in the wake of the French Revolution (hence her English accent).

As an extra bonus, the tea-set can also be found in Disneyland at Tarzan's Treehouse. And a Mrs Potts costume can be seen in the background of the Trick or Treat sequence in Disney's live action Hocus Pocus.
