4. Dreamcatcher (2003)

Morgan Freeman is known for his distinctive voice---which is as recognizable as James Earl Jones€™. He is respected and has appeared in such box office and critically acclaimed films as Glory, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, Seven and Million Dollar Baby. He has been nominated for the Academy Award as both Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor on four occasions---winning the award in the supporting actor category for his performance in Million Dollar Baby. With credentials like these one has to scratch their head when they see his name in the opening credits of Dreamcatcher. One of the most poorly adapted Stephen King novels, this movie---about aliens that live in human excrement and crawl up from the toilet---was summed up as a €œlikeable disaster€ by one critic. Fortunately for Morgan Freeman, he won an Oscar for Million Dollar Baby the following year making his association with this film nothing more than a dream---at least we wish it was.
