10 Best Horror Movies Of 2026 (So Far)

If 2025 was the year of Weapons and Sinners, then 2026 has without question been the year of Obsession. Curry Barker's big screen debut has earned accolades both critical and commercial left, right, and centre, and has deserved every single one of them.

The film took the world by storm, was all anybody could talk about, and in ridiculous fashion managed to earn its budget 660-fold at the box office. It has been an unheard-of success, and it is not hard to see why.

Boasting a relatively straightforward yet relatable story of love and lust, Obsession is an incredibly dark thriller that kept audiences compelled and on the edge of their seats for the entire time. Much like Rachel McAdams' performance in Send Help, Obsession was elevated by the electric Inde Navarrette, who has become something of a star in quick fashion, again deservedly so.

Playing both sides of the character, the normal and the possessed, Navarrette was arguably the lynch pin on which everything hung. While there are of course countless facets that go into the success of a movie, it's hard to overstate just how important her role was, and if she hadn't captured it like she did, viewers may not have gotten quite so lost in the story.
