10. Commander Kenneth Marshall - Mickey 17
The main villain in Bong Joon Ho's sci-fi black comedy Mickey 17 is Commander Kenneth Marshall (Mark Ruffalo), a failed politician who leads a mission to colonise the ice planet Niflheim by wiping out its native lifeforms.
From the very that day Mickey 17 was released, many noted a distinct air of President Donald Trump about Marshall, given that he's a similarly incompetent, egomaniacal politician with ridiculous hair and veneers who speaks for the elite.
Even though both Bong Joon Ho and Mark Ruffalo claim that Marshall wasn't in any way based on Trump, it's tough to view the character outside of this context.
While the jury's still out on Ruffalo's performance, the hamminess of which rubbed some up the wrong way, Marshall is nothing if not a relevant villain for the current political moment.
Even with Mickey 17 flopping at the box office, one suspects it'll earn cult classic status long-term, and years after Trump is no longer here, Marshall will still be a recognisable stand-in for the man himself.
