And finally, we have the highest-grossing film of 2018 by a massive margin, the superhero epic par excellence that is Avengers: Infinity War.

A ludicrously entertaining spectacle like nothing else, the Russo brothers defied almost all scepticism to deliver a surprisingly coherent, well-rounded and thoughtful comic book event movie for the ages.

Chances Of Winning: Honestly, it's probably between this and Black Panther. The latter has the obvious zeitgeist appeal on its side, but Infinity War grossed $700 million more, and simply has general audiences more invested.

A passion play for Black Panther could snatch it away, but basically, this is Infinity War's award to lose.
