Bill Nighy: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
5 Awesome Performances...
5. Slartibartfast - The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (2005)
All the dry-as-bark humour of Bill Nighy couldnt be more well-placed with the character of Planet Designer Slartibartfast, from Douglas Adams Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Its a fantastic rendition of a well-loved literary character, as so-so as the 2005 adaptation is. Well worth the price of admission alone is the tour around Earth Mk. II that Slartibartfast gives to Arthur Dent - it rather plays like an advert for Nighys impeccable comic timing and delivery.
