Bill Nighy: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
3. Billy Mack - Love Actually (2003)
Nighy well and truly broke into the mainstream with his hilarious turn as aging rocker Billy Mack in Richard Curtis saccharine Christmastime romcom, Love Actually. Nighy effectively stole that whole film, from discussing how rubbish Britney Spears is in bed live on the radio to confusing Ant and Dec on the telly (whilst writing weve got little pricks on a framed poster of Blue). But the real kicker is the touching moment he shares with his long-suffering manager on Christmas Day, where he sacks off a hedonistic party at Elton Johns gaff to come and tell Joe (Gregor Fisher) that it turns out the platonic love of his life was him all along. Come on. Lets get p*ssed and watch porn. Emotional stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EuO6OFypLo
