Birds Of Prey Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

4. Ewan McGregor Kills It As Roman Sionis

Though Birds of Prey is categorically owned by Margot Robbie's stellar work, Ewan McGregor does a fantastic job bringing an eccentric villainy to Roman Sionis, ensuring he's one of the more memorable DCEU villains to date.

McGregor plays Sionis with an amusing flamboyance which differentiates him from your typical wealthy megalomaniacal supervillain, and while there's not a ton of depth to him as a character, the actor is clearly having a blast playing such a larger-than-life baddie.

Again, it's a shame we didn't get to see more of McGregor actually wearing the black mask itself, but he gives an expressive, entertainingly detestable performance all the same.
