This isn't just a film. It's also not just an opportunity to have lots of female characters together at once, which is, of course, a positive thing for representation and catering to younger female audiences who are all-too-often overlooked by comic book movies. The best thing about Birds Of Prey - and this trailer - is that it comes with an important message about emancipation.

Yes, the title is awful, but it has a point. After we watched Harley living out her assumption that a harlequin needs a master in Suicide Squad - and the related abuses by the Joker - this film is clearly going to be about Harley Quinn reclaiming her identity for herself.

It might not be popular with certain parts of the Internet, but her setting out to prove that she and the other Birds don't NEED a man to guide or control or lead them is a strong message.

And now to the negatives...
