Black Adam: 10 Things You Need To Know About Dwayne Johnson's DC Movie

3. Shooting Starts Next Year (The Same Year It's Released)

Black Adam may be booked in for December 22nd, 2021 right now, but that's almost certainly going to change. During a recent interview with Collider, producer Hiram Garcia was asked to share an update, and acknowledged that current world events have somewhat changed plans for the movie's production (originally, the plan was for cameras to begin rolling this summer).

"[It] threw a curveball in a big way and readjusted everyone’s schedule, but I think the easiest way to look at it is it simply pushed the entire industry’s schedule a few months," he says. "We’re planning to pick back up with Black Adam some time first quarter next year and hoping to lock that all down soon."

If shooting doesn't begin until January - March, then getting Black Adam in cinemas by the end of the year is going to be very difficult, especially when it's bound to be a VFX-heavy project. There's really no need to rush (especially with Shazam! 2's release date now postponed), though it's unclear why Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce any sort of move.
