Black Adam: 20 WTF Moments

One of the movie's recurring mid-film gags basically makes Adam seem like Guardians of the Galaxy's Drax the Destroyer, given his battle to fully grasp the concept of sarcasm.

When Adam smashes a hole through Adrianna's home, Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan) quips that they mustn't have had doors in his age, to which Adam deadpan retorts, "Of course we did, that's how we entered rooms."

Fate suggests that Adam doesn't understand sarcasm, and so in an attempt to prove him wrong, Adam drops two Intergang mercenaries from the sky, before telling Fate that he only sarcastically promised not to harm them. Fate, of course, assures him that's really just lying.

This gag gets one more callback a few minutes later, when Adam has to team up with the Justice Society to track down Ishmael and unexpectedly confesses, "I love teams," before Fate asks for confirmation that he was indeed being sarcastic.
