2. The Trailer Almost Spoils The Entire Movie

If you were worried that the movie's trailers - if you even saw them - seemed to give away the entire movie, well, almost.

The oddly involved trailers for the movie show footage from pretty much every single major scene, and worse than that, literally spoil the (admittedly obvious) twist regarding the character of Professor Gelson (Cary Elwes), as well as the nature of the final action sequence.

Worse still, numerous character deaths late in the film are shown like they're no big deal, seeming to confirm just how little regard the studios had for the movie as a whole.

And you can basically understand where they're coming from: with a film this terrible, why not just fill the trailer with all the "best" money shots and hope for the best? Scoop up that opening weekend box office and move on.

As frequent a complaint as it is that movie trailers ruin movies these days, Black Christmas' spoilerific marketing is quite something else indeed.
