Black Panther: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
2. T'Challa
Played By: Chadwick Boseman
After his explosive, brilliant performance in Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman returns to confirm precisely why he was chosen for the part of T'Challa. He has that tangible regal poise, combined with the slight stand-offishness that works for royalty, but here we get much more warmth beneath his public persona.
In his personal relationships with his sister, mother and ex-lover, we are invited to visit his depths - which is something the MCU tends to only do in sequels after breaking a character down somewhat. Here, T'Challa's relationships arguably matter more than his heroism, which makes him far more complex.
He misses some of the everyman charisma of someone like Ant-Man, but it fits that he'd be different as royalty and Boseman's performance is faultless.
