Black Panther Looks A Lot Better On EW's Captain America: Civil War Cover
T'Challa says "meow".
Entertainment Weekly have dropped their brand-spanking new Captain America: Civil War cover, boasting an original shot of Captain America, Iron Man and the first good glimpse of Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther - or, his costume, at least. Check it out down below. This picture has obviously been photoshopped to the high heavens; Chris Evans is the blondest he's ever been, and Panther looks more CGI than real - no reason to call Chadwick out for a photoshoot when they can just send along an image of his costume, after all. Regardless, it gives us the opportunity to really look closely at what I think is a great rendition of the Black Panther costume. In essence it's a realisation of that concept art that did the rounds some time ago; there's the classic 'claw necklace' that some incarnations of the comic book character bore, and the suit really has that 'armour' feel to it. That latter part goes in line with what the Russo brothers recently said about his suit being comprised of a Vibranium mesh. The helmet also looks sufficiently hi-tech, which is in keeping with Wakanda's reputation as a highly advanced society in the comics. All in all, it looks like they've really pulled off a live action rendition of Black Panther. T'Challa aside, it's a cool cover on EW's part; it's just a shame that Black Panther is so obscured, because at this point, stock images of Captain America and Iron Man are almost... boring? Never thought I'd see the day.
