Black Panther Review: 10 Best Moments

5. T'Challa Returns

Black Panther Chadwick Boseman

After being revived by a combination of M'Baku's magic snow and a healthy dose of a herb drink, T'Challa wastes no time returning to Wakanda to challenge Killmonger for the Wakandan throne, as him still being alive makes the initial challenge incomplete.

T'Challa arrives in sure style, taking down an airship and fearlessly running towards Killmonger's army, allowing himself to take a beating from dozens of soldiers and using the Panther suit's kinetic charge to send out an energy blast, sending everyone in the vicinity into the air.

At that point, Killmonger's army summons a band of armoured rhinos to attack T'Challa and the Dora Milaje, as Nakia and Shuri show up to help out, while Ross provides VR air support (and nearly dies in the process).

T'Challa then ends up battling Killmonger in the magnetic train tunnel shown earlier in the film, as M'Baku finally arrives with his army to repel Killmonger's men.

And of course, how can you not love that rhino stopping short of squishing Okoye (Danai Gurira) and licking her face? Some rough CGI moments aside - namely those rhinos - it's a brilliantly diverse climactic set-piece with a frantic pace and a real sense of stakes.
