Black Widow: 10 Major New Details Revealed About The Marvel Movie

Some fans have questioned what the point of a Black Widow movie is when the character was killed off in Avengers: Endgame. Well, while it's a story that may be set in the past, it appears that it will introduce a lot of new major players to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Natasha's "mother" Melina Vostokoff, her "father" Red Guardian, and "sister" Yelena Belova are among them, but their not really her family. Well, not by blood anyway.

"Yelena's relationship with both of those parents (Alexei and Melina) is full of sadness because she saw them as her real family," Florence Pugh explains. "David Harbour and I agreed that Yelena was definitely Alexei's little girl, his little special thing. And they separated when she was still a young child, and she gets sent back to the Red Room not really knowing what the hell is going on."

Harbour adds: "The connection to him and Black Widow is that they were set up as a spy family in America in the '90s. So they knew each other from long ago and then they lost touch for almost twenty years." The actor would go on to note that he returned both Natasha and Yelena to the Red Room, so there's going to be some tension there, and this unique family dynamic will clearly be a focal point.
