Black Widow Stand-Alone: 10 Things Marvel Must Do

8. Have A Black Widow/Hawkeye Reunion

One of the strongest aspects of the Avengers movies is the interplay between its big personalities, but Johansson's Widow and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye don't conform to the bluster and bombast of their flashier teammates.

They're introduced first and foremost as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and as such are trying to do their jobs rather than save the world most of the time. (Never mind that their jobs involved saving the world quite often.)

They're not exactly working-class heroes, but their relationship is built on the foundations of a shared worldview - although they clearly have different ideas about mixing their personal and professional lives - and a charming camraderie that goes deeper than, say, Tony and Bruce's "bromance" and isn't played for cheap romance.

Seeing that dynamic played out in a smaller, more personal story than the world-ending blockbusters we usually see them together in would be gratifying, and the heroes' relative powerlessness gives a film the chance to play with close-quarters, ground-level action in a way the MCU has only explored, up until now, in its Netflix series.

Plus there's every chance they might talk about that one time they took a trip to Hungary...
