In addition to being goosebump-inducing, the montage – as well as the rest of the trailer – aids in raising tension throughout, and had us welling up on several occasions. The short preview includes many signature moments from Queen’s career, but it also includes some behind the scenes stuff, such as when the band coined the signature beat from ‘We Will Rock You’. Following this sequence, the trailer cuts to a scene showing the band performing the legendary song to a large audience, which is tear-jerking – especially if you’re a fan of the band.

Moreover, the title cards in the trailer tell us that ‘Fearless Lives Forever’, which is an incredibly powerful phrase when putting it in context with Mercury's real-life fate, as well as the impact he had on the music industry. The phrase is followed with a scene of Mercury discussing his lack of time, which makes us feel for the character even further. As trailers go, this is one of the most emotionally powerful in recent memory.
