3. His Working Relationship With M
The chemistry between Craig's Bond and Judi Dench's M is phenomenal, and while there are comical moments between the two, there is no doubt that both of them respect one another. The sincere and serious moments between Bond and M are what define their working relationship. M knows that there is no other agent working at MI6 who has more skills than Bond, even though their trust in one another is tested, specifically M's confidence that Bond will comply with her instructions for how she prefers he handle a situation. In Skyfall, their trust in one another is a significant part of their interactions throughout the film, but M knows what Bond is capable of as a secret agent. If M can rely on any secret agent at MI6 to fulfill his duty, Bond is the one agent who will do what needs to be done.
