Bond 24: 10 Unadapted 007 Stories We'd Love To See Made Next
To be honest, one of these days James Bond should just return to the original Ian Fleming novels for remakes. Perhaps even this day is inevitable. Sure there are some great contributions to the Bond books by John Gardner, Raymond Benson, and Jeffery Deaver, but the one and only Fleming is incomparable. Many of the early 007 adaptations of Fleming's work were just ridiculous. Not to say that the movies are not good, quite the contrary, but many a time the movies are so different from the books that the only thing making the cut from the novel to the film was title, names, and sometimes bits of dialogue. So much of the richness of Fleming's stories were cut out of the films that going back to remake more faithful adaptations would yield films nothing similar to their earlier counterparts. Bond should return to Fleming someday, however, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. It would be very easy to bungle it up and cost the franchise its ability to only live twice in one bad mistake. The probability that Bond 24 at least will be based off of any 007 novels is slim, but in case it was here are a few of the best. Click "next" to begin our slideshow;
