Bond 24: 5 Directors Who Could Replace Sam Mendes

1. Christopher Nolan

chris nolan We know, we know: it's the stuff of wild school boy fantasy, but we seriously think that Christopher Nolan would be the perfect man to take on the next Bond movie. Why? Well, for starters, he's a self-declared Bond aficionado. Like, he adores James Bond movies. So much so, in fact, that he even included a huge Bond action set-piece homage in Inception (it's one of the dream layers - the one with the snow fort), which proved to be the highlight of the movie. For seconds, Sam Mendes has even admitted that - where Skyfall was concerned - he was inspired by Christopher Nolan and the work he did for The Dark Knight. Mendes even went as far as to say that Skyfall would never have been made in the way it was made without The Dark Knight and its legacy at the forefront. Above all, though, we know that Christopher Nolan would be right at home with this kind of material. We've seen what he can do with "pulpy" stories, and that he's fully capable of injecting old franchises with new life. Sure, he doesn't have to do much of that where Bond 24 is concerned, given that Mendes has already updated the aesthetics, but the Bond material is seriously fitted for Nolan's tastes. Besides that, Nolan is also relatively anti-CGI, and even picturing the kind of amazing stunts he'd shoot for Bond 24 is enough to have us drooling already. Somehow, somebody has to make this happen. Please! Who did you think would make an ideal director for Bond 24? Let us know in the comments section below.
