Bond 24 Wishlist: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. Chiwetel Ejiofor As The Villain

Chiwetel Ejiofor One of the more prominent and believable rumours to do the rounds earlier this year was that Chiwetel Ejiofor, fresh off his tremendous success in the Best Picture-winning 12 Years A Slave, was being circled for the part of the main villain in Bond 24. Of course, we have no information whatsoever on what type of villain he might end up playing, but we could easily see him as a Jeckyl and Hyde-type bad guy, a suave, sophisticated, good-looking man who looks great in a suit, but who can also roll up his sleeves and become a total savage when the occasion calls for it. Ejiofor has proven his capability of playing an attention-grabbing bad guy no better than in Joss Whedon's Serenity, and if he can channel any of that same energy, Eon will be onto a winner. Following the lead of Javier Bardem's Raoul Silva will be a tough feat for whoever eventually takes the part, though Ejiofor is definitely capable of filling his shoes, and if rumours are to be believed, the addition of a physically imposing henchman just might help him in that regard too (though we'll get onto that shortly).
