Bruce Franklin, assistant director on TERMINATOR SALVATION talks Bale's F-Rant...

Because really, Bale's just a nice guy. Bruce Franklin, assistant director on TERMINATOR SALVATION tells E Online! that star Christian Bale's F-word rant against the movie's DP was just him having "a bad day" and that really Bale is nothing but a "consumate professional". I say, nothing professional about calling your co-worker a "fucking amateur" and embarrassing him in front of the whole crew. No excuses and if it puts off directors from wanting to work with him in the future, then I can't say I blame then. Here's Bruce playing damage control...

"If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove...but was the most emotional scene in the movie," said Franklin. "And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed." "This was my second movie with Christian and it has always been a good experience with him," added Franklin, who also worked with the actor on 2000's Shaft. "He is so dedicated to the craft. I think someone is begging to make some noise about this but I don't think it's fair. The art of acting is not paint by numbers, it's an art form. "
All I could fathom out is that the scene in question involved Bryce Dallas Howard (Kate Connor) as Bale mentions her during his tirade and is one of the emotional scenes of the film. Guess we will find out in May just if the "lighting" was good. Meanwhile, /film carry a new image from the movie, featuring Bale... terminatorsalvationtunnel-440x292
