the 6th highest-grossing rom-com of all time. WTF were Disney smokin' by passing on it? (apparently it's because they only want to make movies that incorporate their whole brand, i.e. - theme park rides, etc!). Not to matter though, Disney aren't the only game in town.

Most Wanted, a high-concept romantic comedy from the

Pete Chiarelli, producers David Hoberman & Todd Lieberman, with stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds already attached. This is their middle-finger movie to Disney...
The story sees Bullock as a criminal suspect with Reynolds as an FBI agent who is supposed to be escorting her to court when the two are ambushed and forced to go on the run.
Sounds like next year's version of
Killers or
The Bounty Hunter, though Universal are citing
Midnight Run - a movie ironically enough they are busy sequelizing themselves. Wisely, Universal see the potential in another Reynolds/Bullock outing, and are going to captialise on all the good work Disney did last summer with their hit. Even more bittersweet is that Disney were first to pass on
Most Wanted in the first place for the same reasons they canned
