Cannes 2019: 10 Most Buzzed About Movies

4. Sorry We Missed You

Director Ken Loach is famed for his realistic, often dark view of British society, and Sorry We Missed You is no exception.

Exploring the world of workers on zero-hour contracts, the film actively sought out non-professional actors to make the film appear as authentic as possible, and the performances have all been widely praised.

Loach previously won the Palme d'Or in 2016 with I, Daniel Blake, and many critics have pointed at Sorry We Missed You as being even better.

Bound to hit home amongst the British crowd of cinema goers, Loach's drama is likely to dominate the buzz in terms of British films when the Bafta nominations come around again next January.
