Captain America 2 Ending: 11 Big Implications For Marvel Phase 3

8. And So Will Bucky (In Some Form)

Bucky knows he is Bucky, sort of, and definitely that he has some sort of link to Captain America, as established by the end of the movie, and then the second post-credits scene that sees him discover the Smithsonian exhibit dedicated to the Howling Commandoes. Quite how he will take that revelation remains to be seen, but since he wasn't shown turning up at Captain's apartment with open palms and an open heart, it's safe to assume he's not going to be taking it very well. So What Next? Captain America 3 is likely to be the next time we see Bucky - unless he's part of the post-credits fun of Age Of Ultron - because otherwise that movie is going to 8 and a half hours long, and it's more than likely that the former Winter Soldier will be going full Wolverine in his attempt to uncover who at HYDRA repurposed him for evil, potentially pitting him against Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, and his new mutant-like test subjects. That endeavour is likely to be the main focus for Captain America too, once his bromance issues with Bucky are sorted out, and the threat of Strucker's experiments uncovered. Maybe Bucky will be taking over the Captain's shield and costume altogether...?
