Captain America 2 Spoilers: 10 Ways It Sets Up Future Marvel Universe Movies

2. Loki Will Appear In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Let's not just skim over the fact that Loki's freakin' scepter is clearly in Von Stucker's possession during this sequence, which gives rise to the idea that Loki could well make an appearance in the Age of Ultron - why else would we find it necessary to dwell on this forgotten object? Loki, of course, has infiltrated Asgaard at this point in the MCU and is pretending to be his father, Odin, much to the obliviousness of his brother. Given that Loki provided bad guy material for the original Avengers, though, it'd make sense that he came back for the sequel. And we're not talking about Loki in full-on bad guy capacity here - just that he might end up being part of the story. The fact that Joss Whedon (who directed the Von Stucker post-credits scene glimpsed at the end of The Winter Soldier) made the decision to guide our attention to Loki's scepter two movies down the line must mean that the story will involve him in some way, shape or form. Perhaps Loki comes back for his scepter, finds the twins in captivity, and ends up letting them free? Far-fetched, sure, but hey, it could happen! And please say it does.
