Captain America 3: 10 Questions About RDJ's Involvement

5. Who Will Be On Which Side?

If indeed a Civil War story does occur in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it will be interesting to find out which sides Tony Stark and Steve Rogers take. In the comic book arc, Tony Stark is pro-registration and Steve Rogers is anti-registration, with the pro-registration act rallying for the idea of a Superhuman Registration Act that protects superpowered characters' identities. Given that identities haven't actually been concealed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the whole thing could take a very different path and, in a movie overhaul of the arc, the two might be on different sides to what they were in the comic. The Steve Rogers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems far more likely to be pro-registration that the Tony Stark of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so perhaps the two will take opposite stances to what they took in the comics.
