9. What Does Helmut Zemo Look Like?

Daniel Brühl is playing the villainous Helmut Zemo in Civil War, and though trailers have shown off glimpses of almost every single character now, Zemo appears to be the odd one out: we still haven't seen a single official image or set leak showing off his appearance. Given Marvel's penchant for updating characters beyond their comic book representation, and Brühl's prior confirmation that Zemo won't be wearing his iconic purple mask, the cinematic Zemo could literally take any form. The Likely Answer: Interviews suggest that Zemo is only loosely connected to the comic version, and so you can pretty much throw out all of the over-the-top, purple garb. Brühl has also said that the character is "from a different area than you would think", so could it be that the movie Zemo will be far more grounded, like a bureaucratic stuffed shirt, perhaps the evil mirror image of Martin Freeman's Everett Ross? If he's going to be the force to be reckoned with that he is in the comics, though, we'll probably get to see him in at least some form of combat gear at some point. This one really could go in any direction, so we'll have to wait and see.
