10. The Red Skull Returns
Ever since the Red Skull mysteriously vanished during The First Avengers, many have questioned whether he was actually gone for good. Some were even eagerly anticipating his return last time out, suspecting that he was going to be Alexander Pierce in disguise during The Winter Soldier.
No matter how he were to do it, be it by power imbued from the Tesseract, or simply emerging from behind a disguise, the Red Skulls return would no doubt stir the pot. To bring a character so long absent from the MCU back into the forefront would be a bold move that may not please everyone, especially because of his lack of connection to the main plot.
Adding another wrinkle to his inclusion would be a bit of re-casting. Hugo Weaving was very vocal about disliking his experience and it's unlikely Marvel would want him back. Theyre no strangers to getting new actors for parts and the heavy makeup could make it a lot easier. Nevertheless, some purists would be notably upset at drastically changing the villain.
The odds of Red Skull showing up in this already hugely-populated movie seem low, but that doesnt means its not possible. It''s just not advisable.
