A lot of the stingers used in the past were very simple in premise but got fans excited because they represented something much greater. For that reason, a silent tease to Black Panther could be both the easiest and most effective teaser to execute.

A key part of T'Challa's story in Civil War is dealing with his royal position and an ascendancy to the crown. A great way to end this part of his journey would be to literally put him on the throne at the end of the movie. Without knowing exactly what happens to his royal status, this seems like both a plausible outcome for his character as well as an effective tease at what awaits him in the future. Furthermore, a scene like this would provide an effective point to jump off from for his own film.

A simple, wordless image of Black Panther sitting on the throne of Wakanda could similarly give a lot of insight into the look and feel of the kingdom and set up an aesthetic for Black Panther.

If T’Challa is the standout of Civil War that many expect him to be, then Marvel will surely want to capitalise on that immediate hype and this could be one way to do it.
