Captain America: Civil War - 10 Most Hyped Moments

1. Spider-Man

We already knew that Spider-Man was going to be good when the early embargo-avoiding social media reactions of the first critics to see it hit the net, but the praise has been pretty much torrential since. Total Film are particularly effusive in their appreciation: "Better yet is Marvel€™s all-new Spider-Man. In a surprisingly substantial appearance, 19-year-old Tom Holland not only makes a case for being the best screen Spidey so far, but also threatens to steal the entire film. His Peter Parker is perfect €“ nervy, goofy and instantly endearing."

That all sounds perfect. And it's not like the "best Spider-Man ever" comment is easily dismissable. Because despite it reaking of hyperbole, the statement features multiple times in reviews to date. Forbes say it:

"Now add in the finest big-screen adaptation of Spider-Man to date, one instantly capable of making you forget all of the previous Spider-Man movies (which are great, don€™t get me wrong here)."

Birth Movies Death say it:

"Tom Holland makes a perfect Peter Parker (and later in the film makes for the best screen representation of Spider-Man)"

Crave meanwhile say that while his inclusion feels a little cynically designed, it's effective:

"Spider-Man adds a sense of wonder that would be dangerous to leave out of these movie, especially now that so many of the other Marvel characters have been around long enough to grow tired of costumed crime-fighting for its own sake."

It's hard not to get wildly over-excited.
