Captain America: Civil War - 10 Ways It’s Already Torn Up The Comics

1. Cap's Motivation Is More Personal And Less Political

The Captain America of the comics baulked at the Superhero Registration Act and SHIELD's order for him to round up his friends and colleagues in opposition. It was an assault on civil liberties by the government he'd served all of his life and went against everything a man whose clothes were emblazoned with the stars and stripes believed that they stood for. Whilst Cap doesn't look overly pleased with the prospect of taking any more orders from on high in the trailer for Civil War, it's the rush to apprehend Bucky that forces his hand and pits him against Stark and Natasha. This brings us back full circle to the friendship and brotherhood from The First Avenger. These two men have been through the war together, and Cap will feel both the need to avenge the accident that saw Bucky lost in the first place and repay him for looking after him in the 40s. It's a more personal fight and one that could suit the film and the character's tone much better than political allegory. What did you make of the Civil War trailer?
