Captain America: Civil War - 11 Amazing Scenes We Know Are Happening

Scarlet Witch fighting Vision? Yes please!

While the film word's focus - and ire - is on Batman v Superman at the moment, that's all about to change in the next few weeks. We're now just around a month away (or less than that if you live in the UK) from what should be the biggest comic book movie of 2016.

Despite some similarities in premise - two heroes fighting over an ideological difference, lots of extra heroes thrown into the mix - the concerns that existed pre-BvS don't exist for Captain America: Civil War. One of the reasons is that Marvel have already established their universe over the past eight years, while Warner Bros. were trying to launch theirs off the back of Bats v Supes.

But there's also a far more simple reason: based on every trailer we've seen, Civil War looks fantastic.

Although they aren't making a Civil War that's being even close to faithful to the comic book arc, there have been a lot of fan pleasing moments and exciting teases. It's established the conflict, shown off the action, and set up a number of scenes that, if they build on the promise of the trailers, will be absolutely amazing.

Ok, let's establish this straightaway: Rhodey ain't dying in Civil War.

The trailers, the teasers, the TV spots, every single one of them is trying to make us think that War Machine is going to die as a result of being shot out the sky, which means that of course he isn't, because otherwise that's a ridiculous spoiler to give away. Trailers aren't adverse to this, but it'd be madness if this were an example of a trailer spoiling something.

That being said, the scene itself promises to be a whole lot of fun. We can assume that a few different characters are flying around at this point - at least War Machine, Falcon, and Vision, perhaps Scarlet Witch as well - so we're going to get some big skybound action, and adding to the fun is the fact that it's Vision - Rhodey's teammate - who is actually the one to shoot him out of the sky.

What comes after that is also going to be great to see. We've seen Tony Stark kneeling over his fallen comrade, and that means we're going to get a seriously pi**ed off Iron Man in action after this happens.
