Captain America Civil War: 12 Big Questions From Everything We Know So Far

7. How Does Black Panther Fit Into Things?

One of the big new additions to the MCU, Black Panther will be getting his own film later on in Phase 3 (recently moved forward to February 2018, to accommodate Ant-Man & The Wasp later that year). First, though, he'll be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, and it's expected to be more than just a cameo. Kevin Feige had originally said that Black Panther would be a neutral character in the film, however the unveiling of the teams had him seemingly lining up on the side of Iron Man, while there was a rumour that his story in Civil War would involve him being on the hunt for Bucky, due to the Winter Soldier having killed his father, T'Chaka. It leaves his role in the movie up in the air. Is he going to be on Stark's team, as the picture suggests (maybe)? Will that Bucky rumour be true (probably not)? Or is he actually going to remain neutral, as per the initial plan (quite likely)?
