Captain America: Civil War - 12 Biggest Questions We Want Answered
3. How Much Spider-Man Will We See?
Aside from Black Panther, the other big, new, heroic addition to the MCU in Civil War will of course be Spider-Man, who'll be played by Tom Holland. After a lengthy spell away, and two different franchise attempts, Marvel have the rights back (or half-back, but let's not get into that tangled web), and Peter Parker can finally swing into action where he belongs. This version of the character will be a considerably younger one, and it's expected that when we meet him in Civil War his powers will still be at a very early stage. Given he'll just be a high-school kid, and has no previous setup as far as the MCU is concerned, it'd be a bit weird to see him embroiled in a Civil War with these heroes, going toe-to-toe with someone like Captain America. Instead it seems more likely that his role will essentially boil down to being a glorified cameo, something to really announce that yes, Spider-Man is in the MCU, and set things up nicely for his solo outing just over a year later. Still, that's not confirmed, and the question stands of how much we'll see of him, what sort of role he'll play, and what his suit will look like. Likely Answer: Glorified cameo, with his powers/suit etc helped along by Tony Stark.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
