Captain America: Civil War - 12 Biggest Questions We Want Answered

9. What Exactly Will Martin Freeman's Character Do?

Martin Freeman did make an appearance in the Civil War trailer, but if you blinked then you probably missed it. Hell, if you just watched normally you probably missed it. If you paused it, squinted a bit, and (*ahem*) helpfully circled it, then you could just about spot him. However, despite his appearance, we're still none-the-wiser to what he'll be doing in the film. His character doesn't even have a name as yet. What we do know is that he'll be playing a government official, and that he'll be a grey sort of character, but there's not much known about his motives or affiliations to any of the heroes. In that above scene, for example, is he there to apprehend Captain America, or help him? Whose side - if any - will he be on, and how big a role is he going to have? Likely Answer: He'll be Martin Freeman. It'll probably be a relatively small role, but one that has importance when it comes to Captain America and his dealings with the government.
