Captain America Civil War - 12 Things Fans Will Just Have To Accept

10. It Will Be Very Different From The Comic

In fairness, most of the comic arcs Marvel have tackled so far have differed fairly significantly from the source material, and that's largely worked out pretty well for them with one notable exception (looking at you here, Mandarin). Still, Civil War is inevitably going to deviate somewhat from the acclaimed series, firstly that a number of characters and properties cannot appear for legal reasons (namely The Fantastic Four and X-Men), and secondly that some of the character motivations of Cap and Iron Man just wouldn't translate very well to their cinematic iterations. One of the most criticised aspects of the comic is that Iron Man siding with the government and Cap going violently rogue both seem somewhat out of character, and so to see this story realised with flesh-and-blood characters (which naturally invites greater criticism than a mere set of drawings), a greater lightness of touch will be needed to make it work. For casuals this won't be a problem in the slightest, but hardcore fans might want to prepare themselves for an alternate take on the beloved (if undeniably flawed) comic.
