7. Sharon Carter

So far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sharon Carter has been something of a peripheral character. As the undercover S.H.I.E.L.D. agent assigned to protect Captain America, it's always been obvious that she's no slouch, but audiences have only really seen her participating in a gunfight with a bunch of nameless HYDRA agents. In Captain America: Civil War, we're going to see what she's really capable of. She's a named member of Captain America's anti-legislation team and will show that she's prepared to mix it with super-powered opponents. While it's hard to imagine what she's actually going to do against the likes of Iron Man, War Machine and Vision, we'll at least see that she's up for the challenge - and an inevitable closely-fought hand-to-hand fight with the pro-registration side's Black Widow will shoot her up in our collective estimations.
