Captain America: Civil War - 9 Major Concerns From The New Trailer
6. The Sides Look A Tad Underwhelming
Okay, okay, so the Civil War of the movie was never supposed to parallel the Civil War of the comics; Marvel have talked on and on about the fact that Captain America's Civil War would definitely not be the same Civil War as glimpsed in the comics. Understood. That said, it's hard not to feel a tad disappointed by the sheer lack of scope seen in this trailer. Whilst the Civil War in the comics involved hundreds and hundreds of superheroes, this Marvel Cinematic Universe equivalent has, like, seven heroes, battling it out on an airport runway. Given all the hype and expectations, it's near-on impossible not to be disappointed by that, regardless of what audiences knew about this version of Civil War. The sides themselves don't look anywhere near as "epic" as they promised to be. Iron Man's team looks entirely lacking, for one thing (granted, this is a teaser), which means that the inherent premise of the movie - Captain America vs. Iron Man - feels flat. That could all change with the release of the film, of course, but right now there's definitely a feeling of imbalance - and anti-climax - regarding the whole "two factions" thing.
