Captain America: Civil War - 9 Rumours We Already Know Were Bullsh*t

8. It'll Crossover With The Netflix Shows

The Rumour: This is going to be one of Marvel's biggest films, and with a number of key players involved in the Civil War arc not available because of rights issues, they'll instead turn to their Netflix TV series, and bring in The Defenders. This includes Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter's Luke Cage.

Why It's Bullsh*t: At a recent Netflix showcase event, Cox was asked about the possibility of being in Civil War, to which he responded: "There was no conversation about joining any of the movies." So that would seem to clear that up, then. Although Daredevil is a part of Civil War, something Cox has spoken about as well, it's clear there are no plans to have him in the movie, and given he's by far the most recognisable of the Defenders we can safely rule out appearances for any of the others as well.

This is further confirmed by the news that Alfre Woodard, who'll play Mariah Dillard in Luke Cage, has been cast in Civil War in a different role to the one she'll have on the Netflix series. The TV and film arms of Marvel are too separate at the moment, and while both are producing some great stuff, a crossover isn't happening anytime soon.
