Captain America: Civil War Review - 13 Non-Spoiler Reasons It's The Best Marvel Movie Ever
8. Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman delivers a phenomenal performance as T'Challa, better known as Black Panther. Projecting regality and ferocity, T'Challa is a real change of page for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is looking out for the good of his people and does not have time for or interest in the quipping that often goes on between The Avengers.
Boseman has found the right voice and accent for T'Challa, a character with a very unique perspective in the story. Wakanda exists mostly as an isolated nation, which explains why T'Challa, already having been the Black Panther when we meet him, hasn't been out trying to get a job with Marvel's superhero squad.
Joining Team Iron Man is less about politics than it is about circumstances causing Black Panther's personal agenda to align him with Stark's crew. He is not at all invested in the personal relationships between the heroes, allowing him to focus directly on his own sense of what is just.
Black Panther's action beats are just plain awesome. His fighting style is unique and his costume looks incredible on the big screen. Seeing him go toe-to-toe with our MCU favorites is a real treat.
Captain America: Civil War is going to test the limits of just how many characters can steal one show, as many moviegoers are sure to leave the theater buzzing about Black Panther just as much as Spider-Man and Ant-Man. The interest in director Ryan Coogler's Black Panther solo film is about the skyrocket.
