Inevitably, Spidey's new look won't delight all fans. Some genuinely do prefer the shiny sleek look he's been sporting in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, but this call-back to the original comics and the bonkers old cartoon is inspired.

Not only does it draw a line under what's gone before and introduce a bold (but old) new direction, it also fits with the MCU's more cartoonish sensibilities.
