Before the title of Captain America: Civil War was revealed, the threequel was originally called Captain America: Serpent Society. Although this subtitle was a simple joke to hype up the true title, it’s still surprising theses slithering supervillains haven’t appeared in the MCU yet.

The Serpent Society (also known as The Serpent Squad and The Serpent Solutions) is a group of reptilian-themed mercenaries, which include Death Adder, Asp, Sidewinder, and Constrictor. Basically, if you're named after a snake, you can join. Originally formed by Viper, aka Madam Hydra, the Society are regularly hired by the Red Skull to assist him with his plans for world domination.

Because this lot are foot-soldiers in tights, it's extremely unlikely they would be the primary antagonists of Captain America: New World Order. However, The Serpent Society could serve as minions for the main villain.

In the previous Cap instalments, we saw several iconic Captain America villains - like Batroc the Leaper and Crossbones - serve as lackeys to the overarching baddie. Because every great supervillain has a legion of goons serving them, it'd be cool to see Sam Wilson face these cold-blooded foes, rather than faceless henchmen.
