Captain Marvel: 10 Things We Learned From The EW Reveal
5. Talos Goes Undercover In S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel didn't just hire Ben Mendelsohn to put him under heavy make-up, though, as the actor will play something of a dual role. Talos' shape-shifting abilities allow him to appear on Earth as a human being, at which point he decides to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D.
Wikipedia lists Mendelsohn's character as "Frank Bush", though this hasn't yet been corroborated by any other sources, so wait and see on that one.
Talos having a relationship with S.H.I.E.L.D. is especially interesting considering those fishy set photos of Samuel L. Jackson getting a plaster cast of his face, which sparked rumours that a Skrull might assume Nick Fury's identity.
Suited-up Mendelsohn may not look like a particularly exciting baddie, but he does slimy duplicity with the very best of them, so should have plenty of fun chewing the scenery.
