Captain Marvel: 12 Rumours That Were Utter Bull

1. Carol Gets Dusted At The End...But Reverses It

The Rumour: Another nifty Reddit theory here, which claimed that the film would end with Carol receiving the pager message from Fury, only to start disintegrating as a result of the Decimation.

But the big twist? She'd use her superpowers to reverse the effects of the dusting on herself, before blasting off into space and heading to Earth, ending the film on one hell of an epic cliffhanger.

The Truth: This probably could've worked, but it also ran the risk of making the snap seem too inconsequential and depicting Captain Marvel as over-powered before she's even faced off against Thanos.

Instead, the film doesn't really invoke the Decimation much at all, beyond the mid-credits scene where Carol is shown meeting up with some of the surviving Avengers in the present.
